This Only LOOKS Like Second-Sock

when i left for a vacation 4 days ago, i told myself i'd finish the second of a pair of socks i've been designing. did i? THINK AGAIN! i'm redoing the heel for about the fourth time - toe-up can be quite the pain. any advice for it?

an update on the Haileygan - due to my trip, i haven't touched it in about a week. i am so dead if it's not done in 2 weeks - EEEP!

Something Like Normal

yes, i'm back. after a fun summer off, the blog and the podcast have returned. no, it's not like i'll be blogging every day and podcasting every week - i have to put up with high school now, so no way is that gonna happen! but i'll try to be on as much as possible.

as far as knitting goes, i STILL haven't finished the Haileygan. EEEEPP!!! i have 3 weeks-ish left before it HAS to be done, and is it anywhere close? how could i EVER be that focused?!?

i'm back

after a few weeks of rarley posting, i'm back again. the updates:

1. the fabric bags are going well. am considering a website - if only i knew how to put one up (comment if you have tips for me).

2. the cast-on insanity is taking over! i have no idea how many UFOs i have right now, and i'm not sure i want to know.

3. i will be doing a new podcast episode sometime next week. will probably be the day after we make it to the local fair and i see how my lace scarf that i'm entering did (if it gets state i will be so happy).

yarny update

haven't been online much recently - here's what i've been up to:

1. finished the baby blanket last week. the recipients adored it.

2. podcast is on hold for a while, at least until i actually have something to say (long story).

3. been fabric-kniting bags like crazy since Wednesday afternoon, when The Mother took me to Jo-Ann Fabrics and i go 2.5 yards each of 6 differnt fabrics on the $2 a yard rack, and also a rotary cutter. 1 bag down, 5 to go. am selling them at a homeschool book sale on thursday for $12 each. will post a week from today about how it went.

4. been so tempted to knit socks. have yarn and everything. don't want another commitment, though.
